#16. SENIOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – PERMANENT
MINE OPERATIONS
WAGE GRADE 17
INTERDEPARTMENTAL

This position is currently on a 4X4 day/night shift rotation; however, the successful incumbent may be required to work on an alternative shift and/or work schedule.

The key area of focus for the successful applicant(s) will be “Hands on Training” of Haulage Drivers. As well, you will be required to partake in OEM and in house training (train the trainer) courses as part of this position.

Qualifications
1. Applicants will be qualified (520 hours) and possess current checkouts for the following equipment types: RTD, Dozer, Grader, Backhoe and Scraper.
2. Successful candidate(s) will have a minimum of 2 years of equipment operating experience on our mine site and will be well versed in all our equipment operating techniques.

Aptitude (Candidate Selection Criteria for this Role)

1. The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate their abilities through testing on Simulator and CBT Training Modules.
   2. The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate proven communication and organizational abilities as per job evaluations.
   3. The successful candidate(s) will require exceptional evaluation and mentoring skills; as well as having the flexibility to manage new and existing equipment operators.
   4. A Positive Track record in training will be considered an asset.
   5. Seniority where qualifications and aptitudes are relatively equal.
